P/t Facilitator/development worker - Newham Older People’s Reference Group

Salary £25,440 - £27,010 pro rata (£7,632 - £8,103 for 10.5hrs pw)    
(plus 5% pension contribution)
           
Age Concern Newham is contracted by Newham PCT to support and facilitate Newham Older People’s Reference Group. This is an independent group working as part of the Newham Older People’s Partnership to ensure that older people and their carers are involved in planning and influence decisions that impact on their health and well-being.  
 

Following the retirement of the previous post holder we wish to appoint an skilled facilitator with an understanding of the issues facing older people in a culturally diverse urban area to support and develop the Group and assist its members to contribute to partnership boards and other forums and influence health and social care planning, commissioning and service review.

P/t Older People’s Involvement worker - Voice & Choice

Salary £25,440 - £27,010 pro rata (£7,632 - £8,103 for 10.5hrs pw)

We wish to appoint an experienced facilitator to establish an exciting new project funded by Comic Relief. Voice & Choice will train and support groups of older people to consult and campaign effectively on issue that affect their lives. You will be an experienced facilitator with an understanding of the issues facing older peoplein a diverse urban community. Key aspects of the role will be to assist participants to raise issues, campaign locally, and participate in London-wide campaigning groups.
